About Us

Mission

The Citizen Stewardship Coalition is a group of organizations that aims to continually improve the life of all animals (domestic, wild, or in refuges) and the environment that they live in. We know that in order to be most successful at this we need a group of citizens who are dedicated to this same goal - we need citizen stewards, everyday people like you who are willing to take action to improve the world around them.

The Citizen Stewardship Coalition was formed in January 2005 with initial funding from the Arizona Community Foundation. We are working together to create engaging education programs to help inspire citizen action. Our philosophy is that with increased awareness you can foster compassion and turn it into action.

If you care about animals and their environments or would like to know why you should care - this is the place for you. This website will introduce you to the Citizen Stewardship Coalition and the many organizations that you can get involved in. Whatever your level of interest, we'd like to work with you.

Our Mission is to engage citizens to care for animals and their environment through increasing awareness of issues, fostering compassion for the animals and their environments, and promoting action to make improvements.
